Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB), Bangladesh, is now a Full Member of ILAC.
BAB has become a signatory to the ILAC MRA for testing (ISO/IEC 17025) via the APLAC MRA. BAB originally joined ILAC as an Affiliate Member in 2010 and we are now pleased to welcome BAB as a Full Member of ILAC.

An updated version of the ISO/IAF/ILAC communiqué on ISO 15189 accreditation is now available from here under the ISO – IAF – ILAC MoU section. This communiqué has been updated to reflect the 2012 edition of ISO 15189 that is now in widespread use. The associated press release has also been updated to reflect this change.
National Accreditation Office (ONA), Nicaragua, is welcomed as a Full Member of ILAC.
ONA has become a signatory to the ILAC MRA for testing via the IAAC MLA. We welcome ONA as a Full Member and look forward to working with our ONA colleagues

ILAC and the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was first established in July 2010. The MoU was established to inform and support cooperation between ILAC and IFCC in the area of medical laboratory accreditation.

Organismo Salvadoreño de Acreditación (OSA), El Salvador, is now a Full Member of ILAC.
OSA has become a signatory to the ILAC MRA for testing (ISO/IEC 17025) via the IAAC MLA. OSA originally joined ILAC as an Affiliate in 2000 and we are now pleased to welcome OSA as a Full Member of ILAC.

Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) is welcomed as an Affiliate member of ILAC.

Following the recent ILAC Arrangement Council ballot, the continuation of recognition for the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) as a Recognised Regional Cooperation of ILAC, has been confirmed. The recommendation endorsed by the Arrangement Council members is noted below:
“The ILAC AMC recommends that the recognition of the APLAC MRA should be continued for the accreditation of calibration and testing laboratories using ISO/IEC 17025, medical testing laboratories using ISO 15189 and inspection bodies using ISO/IEC 17020. It is recommended that the next re-evaluation of APLAC be carried out following the standard 4 year period, that is by June 2017.”
