ILAC – JCGM Partnership

 

The Joint Committee for Guides in Metrology (JCGM) is composed of eight international organisations working in the field of metrology; namely the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Federation for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) and the International Organisation of Legal Metrology (OIML).

 

Working Groups

JCGM WG1 maintains the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (known as the GUM) and supplementary documents.

JCGM WG2 maintains the International Vocabulary of Metrology – Basic and General Concepts and Associated Terms (known as the VIM).
